Leading up and horizontally: leadership with supervisors and colleagues

April 29 @ 8:00 am - April 30 @ 4:00 pm

Objectives:
This seminar nurtures both upward and lateral leadership skills to address ongoing challenges with supervisors as well as negotiating with colleagues in the absence of a formal leadership position.

Description:
On the first day of the workshop, participants are provided with a framework through which they can assess their relationship with the supervisor, identify realistic objectives that they wish to achieve, are introduced to a number of techniques to negotiate with colleagues and, finally, develop a plan to exercise their leadership skills in the absence of a formal position of leadership.
On the second day of the workshop, participants meet the trainer through a series of one-to-one meetings. Within this context, they have the opportunity to discuss their specific situation, eventual challenges they are facing and possible ways forward to improve the relationship with their supervisor or address difficulties they might be experiencing with their colleagues.

29 April 2024, 9:00 – 18:00 (All participants)
30 April 2024, 9:00 – 16:00 (One-to-one sessions)
